| Password Protect Directories |
| |
Using this option, you can password-protect any directory you own. This will prevent users from viewing the contents of a directory unless they have permission. You can set any number of users using this feature.
*Note that you cannot use this feature if you have Frontpage Extensions installed. You would need to use Frontpage itself to perform this function. |

| The Directory Protection Manager has a dropdown box in the Directory field. You will use this dropdown box to locate which files you want protected. For example, if you want to protect your site's Guestbook Manager, locate it in the Directory dropdown box and click Load. The following page is displayed: |

| This page allows you to set up a Username and a Password to give a user secure access to certain directories. To do this, you find the directory in the drop down box. For example, if you wanted them to have access to Guestbook Manager, you would find it, enter it, and click Load. Clicking Load adds the directory name behind Add/Modify a user for directory. Type in a User ID and a Password and click Submit. Once you have clicked Submit, the following page is displayed: |

| This page allows you to add more users as well as remove users from directories. To remove a user, scroll down to the Remove a user for Directory field, type in the User ID, and click Remove. To remove all protections from a directory, simply repeat for each user in the directory. |
